The Climate Brick

The Climate Brick is an independent climate tech knowledge project created by EQT Ventures, Contrarian Ventures, and McKinsey & Company (pro bono). It was launched to help founders, investors, and operators in climate tech navigate the space more easily, offering a simple, non-ideological framework that maps out how emissions are caused, where solutions can be found, and what technologies are being built to address them.

I was brought in to help with the rebrand and relaunch of The Climate Brick, supporting the transition from a static framework to a living, public-facing platform for climate innovation. I worked closely with an external agency and the Brick team on the strategic repositioning, refreshed visual identity, website redevelopment, and overall digital presence to ensure the platform spoke clearly and credibly to climate tech builders and backers.

As part of the relaunch, I also curated and produced an event at the Energy Tech Summit (ETS) in Bilbao, introducing the updated Climate Brick to an audience of founders, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders.

Brand and Strategy

• Supported the strategic repositioning of The Climate Brick, helping refine its purpose, target audience, and narrative clarity.

• Collaborated with an external agency to reshape the visual identity, ensuring it reflected the Brick’s technical, accessible, and non-ideological tone.

• Helped evolve the project from a one-off knowledge tool to a recognizable, ongoing platform for climate insight.

Website and Digital Experience

• Worked with the Brick team and agency to guide the information architecture and UX of the new site.

• Gave detailed input on tone of voice, structure, and content flow to make the site more intuitive and engaging.

• Helped prepare and adapt content and copy for launch, including homepage framing and new explainer sections.

Social Media and Visibility

• Supported the rollout of social content and voice, aligning the platform’s digital presence with its updated identity.

• Developed light-touch messaging frameworks to help Climate Brick show up consistently across posts and partner mentions.

Event Execution

• Curated and produced a dedicated launch event at the Energy Tech Summit (ETS) in Bilbao to introduce the rebranded Climate Brick to the ecosystem.

• Managed content framing, speaker alignment, and logistics to ensure a professional and engaging presence at the summit.
